Ah, so THAT'S where you"ve been John ! Well as long as you think you've learned your lesson...:tears-of-joy: I have a special treat in store just for you, after this build, so long as you can behave yourself. Here's a little hint....

Great work Ron. An evident reason to abandon would be cool. It doesn't have to be catastrophic. Just a thought w/first cuppa.
Hiya Paul ! The hood will be opened to display the engine and to hopefully suggest engine problems, so there's that.... and I'm hoping to think of some loose item or two besides the spent MG rounds, to place either in the half track or littering the ground nearby... perhaps a map or satchel of a Staff Officer....

Been following along, quietly, from my cheap seat Ron ;) .....
.... But I have to break radio silence after that last set of pics mate!!
... Absolutely lovely work on that interior, both engine compartment and cargo area :smiling3:
Can't get my head around covering some of it up.... Such a shame!!
Superb stuff buddy....
Andy,(Now settling back into my cheap seat :smiling3: )
Aw, C'mon Andy !! Man, no Space Rock pal of mine is going to sit in the cheap seats !! That's for Commander Race when he's up to his hijinx and shenanigans !! Next time let me know and I'll make sure you have a back-stage pass Buddy ! ;)

Ron all looks good to me as well and a shame to cover some of it up for sure. What product did you use for the fuel stains?
Hi John ! It's a ready-made solution-in-a-pot from MIG Ammo that I'd picked up 5 or more years ago but never got around to trying it. Since it's so old, I'd worried that it would be too 'syrupy' to clean off, but the stains on the valve cover and transmission cover wicked off easily with a brush dampened in mineral spirits. Seems to be working also near the fuel filler. Will re-apply more thoughtfully...

A further thought about debris or scatter items......perhaps a tipped up Kraut helmet on the ground with a nice round hole through one side....morbid, yes......effective, yes...........sure would tell the story. Sorry Ron, I'm off to see Matron....:tongue-out2:;)

Getting there.... haven't ventured into the weathering process for quite a while and one thing that reminds me is, how much a tendency I have to over-do the effect. I love the beaten-up, lived-in, fought-in look, but restraint is an issue in my modeling at this stage. Instincts tell me to stop here and finish the assembly. Any observations / advice is welcome and helpful, please. Regarding my markings, I know the tactical icon is appropiate for a tank but not necessarily a halftrack ; this is Plan B after the first decals didn't apply very well. And the radio wiring is not accurate, just my representation. I decided on this to add some interest. Hope you all like it thus far !

Hi Ron
Looking great. I rather like the used and abused look. Many popular and effective weathering fashions look stunning even if not totally realistic.

Thank You Jim ! Once on a small dio base I think it'll blend well with its setting
