Rhubarb gin is one of the easiest to make barry, due to the fact that its very essy to strain for bottling . The fruit doesnt break up like most of the berries. Raspberry and blackberry need several strainings as they clog up the muslin and you have to keep rinsing it out . A rhubarb and vanilla gin with a fever tree tonic mskes a fantastic long drink .
Its a good year for berries , there were loads of the little beauties , we came back after an hour or so with about 2 kilos each , plenty for gin and loads left over for pies, pancakes etc! I might even make some liqueur .
