My build of the Airfix 1/72 Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX (02081)

I hadn't realised that this was the place to post pictures of completed builds and had only put them in my build thread.

I can't believe that this is only the second time that I have ever made this kit which was originally tooled in 1959 and which I first made in the early Seventies. The kit was slightly modified in 1975 but this is a 2005 boxing complete with dodgy kit decals. They were off-register, stuck to the backing paper in lots of places and were a trial to get them to stay on!

Great result. As Tim says these old kits can build up well. Just need skill and some extra work.
