Dragon 1/72nd scale T34/76 designated Panzerkampfwagen T-34 747 (r )

A lot of t34-76's were pressed into service by the Wehrmacht and this kit accommodates to all of them from a stock t34 to a fully modified one with a panzer cupola and schurzen side plates. I think I'll do one with the cupola but not the schurzen. This kit cost me Nzd $18 so about £9.

The detail and build options are amazing with p.e, ds tracks and even rolled up tarps.

Amazing value for what's in the box Ian, I'm well chuffed. I'm so spoiled for choice that I want to put pieces on that aren't legit for the version I'm making

A quick update, I'm really enjoying this kit immensely. I might buy 2 more and do all versions :smiling3:

A lot of sexy brass, I'm not 100% sure if I'll keep the etched rain guard because the plastic one seems to sit better.

The hatches are dry fit because I have figures for this. A full gun breech is a nice touch on Dragons part, there is also a complete internal periscope used for the "mickey mouse" turret. My turret version has a moulded on splash guard in place of the Soviet periscope.View attachment 104445

I absolutely love the p.e engine deck cooling grille and how the internal flaps are visable. Styrene heaven.

Oooh, that looks good. I've been looking for a T34 model to build, but many of the offerings from the main companies seem to have issues.

I have a Dragon 1/72 Tiger, with PE and all the trimmings. Maybe I should just get on with it.

What kit # is your tiger?

It's hard to find that perfect kit, this one is a wonderful build but I suspect it would have rivet counters scratching their heads.

Thanks Ian mate, I know you can appreciate the size of the parts after building 2 fantastic 1/72 Shermans. I like to use the lighter for scale reference.

Aaron, it's the 7376 Leningrad winter one. I got it ages ago for £10, and I see they're going for £20 plus. The sprues look very much like your T34 ones. I'm kind of waiting until I feel I can do it justice.

I would like to see more 1/48 armour kits myself.
