No, they’re regular takeoff aircraft. Look at the details in the second photo :smiling3:

OK, sticking with a theme, cos you haven’t said that they’re not MiG 21s, left hand plane with reverse canopy opening is a MiG-21 PFM or earlier, and the others are MiG-21 SM or later.

Which means these could be Shenyang F7-Bs? Though I still think the one with the reverse canopy is a PFM or earlier, probably one of the Indonesian batch...
But called YF -110s in American use....

That’s the designation I was fishing for :smiling3: Like I said, I wanted the correct designation for the planes in these pictures — implying that I wasn’t after their more usual one :smiling3:

I think that's a Zil 29061.
Designed for retrieving cosmonauts from wet and marshy areas. Uses twin screws on the Archimedes screw principle.
