Coming along very nicely Ralph, can't seem to force myself to do anything smaller than 1/35 scale, considering that's all I have in the stash.
I do admire those who take on the smaller scales as they seem more difficult to me.......Jim:smiling3:
Thanks for the kind words Jim:smiling3:.

I do tend to enjoy doing these 1/48 kits, although I do have a few 1/35 kits to build.

I've been doing some weathering.

Mainly washes, highlights and some chipping.Still plenty more to do.

This is looking great Ralph, I particular like the range of shading effects and as you say it's still not done yet. Truly amazing work

Hi Friends.

I've been working on the tracks and wheels today using oil washes and pastel dust.

Also general pastel dusting all over.

I've also done a bit more work on the figures and bits and bobs.

And yes I broke a few bits off. Will be fixed near the end.

Really showing the value of the pre shading Ralph. The weathering is pulling it together perfectly. As for the figures........ stunning already......

Looks very good Ralph, just shows that artists pastels are just as effective as branded pigment powders ;)

Your crew figures are really nice too. I think the faces are spot on

I don't believe it everyone on here is improving leaps and bounds, this is stunning, I'm no armour man but I can recognised great work when I see it. Looks brilliant mate.

I've used artists pastels for a long time and there are hundreds more colours to choose from. ;)

Wish I could struggle with the flesh as good as that ;)
Well Graham,I don't want this to sound like it is.

But even when I do something I think is S%%t people think I'm still goodo_O;).

Try getting your head around that,I've tried and it's bloody weird.

Looking brilliant Ralph, love the weathering, how are you fixing the pastels?
Thanks for the nice comments John:smiling3:.

I use white spirit initially then when everything is finished a light misting of matt varnish(airbrushed).
