Well, Eduard strike again!! ....the instructions call for Tailplane part no.B21.....
IMG20240225200318.jpg
When I went to check out the decals for it..... it's a different shape!:flushed:
So,looked at everything again, nope,no other decal and DEFINITELY part no.B21!!.....
Then, what's that on the other side of the sprue....
IMG20240225200346.jpg
WTF?!!! Part no.B20,which has NO MENTION at all in the destructions :tired:
So, it's cut off the tail and try to get the proper one to go on straight
IMG20240225202150.jpg,not impressed at all :sad-face:

Hi Mike, how long do you leave the burnt umber oils before applying the Varnish?

Don’t know what you are complaining about Andy, mine had a different set of instructions to the kit itself……I had to do some of it by eye…..
Ha!! .... yep, this isn't the only issue I've had with this kit either!! ;)
Yep definitely nearly there buddy, keep going
Thanks Mick, I'm getting there, slowly but surely :smiling3:

Well this kit is putting up a good fight Andy, but it looks like you’re beating it into submission. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Ian,had several issues with this one,but I won't bang on about them..... Yet!!:tears-of-joy:

So, just to show that I haven't given up on this, some moderate,slow,progress....
IMG20240229121419.jpg
The correct tail now fitted and decaled up,with basic wood attempted there. Then I did the top wing....
IMG20240229121512.jpg
The vent type thing is yet to be painted along with some highlighting. Finally for now,did the metal covers around the engine with a base coat.
IMG20240301183206.jpg
IMG20240301183240.jpg
That's it for now, will get some more done later today :smiling3:
As always, thanks for looking in.....

Put the Red stripe decals on the tail plane eventually, they need some Micro Sol to settle them down. Also tried the White and blue stripe on the fuselage..... But it completely disintegrated :tired:,so,I had to mask it up and paint it on......

It needs touching up a bit,but all in all it's not too bad.Next up,some detail painting and adding the Crosses on the fuselage.,then a coat of gloss varnish in preparation for the Flory wash.:tongue-out2:
All very slow progress, but it's getting there, thanks for looking in, I'm hoping to get quite a bit done tomorrow, cheers for now :thumb2:.

So,this has escaped the bin by a whisker a couple of times this week, for various reasons!
Anyway,decals on,varnished and a Flory wash applied,(I fancy it being a bit grubby :tongue-out2:......
IMG20240308170435.jpg
Then, wash cut back, wheels, prop, guns, exhaust and top wing all added....
IMG20240309145921.jpg
IMG20240310174744.jpg
IMG20240310174816.jpg
So there you go, that's it up to now.
One thing I find strange.... Why are the crosses on the tail plane and fuselage so close together?.... I'd have expected the fuselage one further along, kind of below the cockpit .
Anyway,small potatoes,as always,thanks for looking in :thumb2:,cheers for now......
