Not wanting to use the kit moulded railings/canvas surrounding the bridge, I have used GLS white metal stanchions, with thin steel rod for the railings.
Presently experimenting with different types of paper for the canvas.
Not been on for a while, and looking back at what I have done, thought it looked a little bland even with the weathering.
Not historically correct I know, but decided to liven it up. Still more to do, then weather again.
Trial fit of the 4pdr tub, and looking at the photo realised I had placed it back to front.
So glad it wasn't glued down, as no doubt someone else would have pointed it out.
I have had to make some adjustments to it's position, as it is mounted on part of the deck that is removable.
It's actually a little to the rear of the place it should be.
Well just looking in on this build and it showed the weathering and i thought "oh my", then scrolled down and seen the photo etch and thought "Oh My God". Looking fantastic Gregg mate.
First layer of hull weathering done, still away to go yet.
For the persons that told me the captain would never allow his vessel to get into this condition, check out the last photo!
