Here are some progress pics.
I gave up trying to get a frontal shot in focus, so this will have to do.
May be he's the Devil...? That would explain it.

A lot to do yet: le deuxieme soldat, la terre, beaucoup de peinture...

Glad you stuck with this one. A terrific finish and the face is remarkable What ever you do now will only enhance a wonderfully done figure. I do not want to distract from the wonderful work you have already done but did you make your own barbed wire or is it AM stuff?? Thanks in advance

Steve

Thanks.
The barbed wire is a very old Verlinden set. Used at last after over twenty years in a folder.
Actually, I noticed the moustache needs highlighting when taking the pics, but that's easy enough.
Quiet day tomorrow, so Fig. 2 should be underway in the morning.
Cheers.

Trimming and snipping done. Assembly underway.

A little bit of progress today.
Ran out of rubber adhesive, so couldn't mend the puncture in the bike's front tyre. No cycling.
A bit more modelling.

A ratty progress snapshot.
These figurestake a while to build as they're in so many separate parts.
I'm painting bits whilst constructing others.
Slow process...20180614_213855.jpg20180614_213855.jpg,

A quick snapshot of today's fun.
So many straps to create, accommodating them all became a challenge. But it looks like the knapsack fits on okay.

Did a bit more this afternoon and the face is done. Helmet next.
It's a nice change to paint it all off the figure, and be able to reach everything easily.
I think a corner has been turned.

Interesting artwork of poilus through the WW1 period.
I'd like this print on the wall, but my wife would probably have a different opinion...

A 30-min session this morning, after I dragged myself out of bed early to fit it in.
That amounted to another tone of shading on the right hand.
Nothing more, but progress is progress...
