Really loosing interest in this build now. Just want to get it finished. Also I'm a little fed up with the quality of humbrol enamels. Plus they are smelly and a pain to clean. I might finish the model and chuck my enamels away and go to acrylic.
Go Zero paints, they are apparently the best or opt for a decent acrylic with a good gloss coat - I used the gloss coat from the Alclad series:

Ok heading towards the finish line on this one. What a terrible terrible kit. Nothing fitted correctly, the decals were useless, and really it shows how far kits have come since the 1990's as that was when this kit was made.

My next update will be the completed model. I had to remove the windscreen as the decal that goes on the inside started peeling so I whipped it off masked it and painted it instead.

I love the engine & parts, the painting is great and it looks very realistic. I know your frustrated by it but its still looking good and you will be learning all the time with it!
