That’s great work Andy
Thanks very much buddy. :smiling3:
Nice bit of "trackery" there Andy. Too bad it's covered up all that wonderful "muck" you added to the chassis. Hope it shows through the tracks from the side view. You didn't show it, so one can only hope. :thumb2:
Yes,indeed Rick,a lot of the nice lumpy stuff has disappeared behind the running gear... but we're used to our carefully detailed bits "vanishing" eh?!!
Looking most excellent Andy. Very good indeed.
Thanks very much Tim, appreciate your thoughts. ;)
Cheers Andrew, it's a fun build. :smiling3:

Oooooo.....that's just luverly!! I bet Cohan likes it too :thumb2:
Ha... If I could get him off of his hammock then I might get his opinion... Sadly though, he's completely oblivious!! :smiling3:
Andy I asked you not to show that photo of me !

Thanks for the photo of Cohan , and those Spiny Lizards.
Great weathering on the engine by the way !
Sorry John, couldn't resist!!.....

Hairspray duly applied...

Then more masking....
IMG20230405163315.jpg
Using my favourite "White Tac" to get the curvy camo, around tricky bits there... Next....
IMG20230405172948.jpg
The side panels also under my masking efforts, and lastly the front panel....
IMG20230405190249.jpg
..all sprayed and drying now...
... we'll see the results tomorrow :smiling3:
As always, thanks for looking in...

Uhh, Mr. Smiff...The piece above is the same color as it was before. It just has a lot of tape and white tac on it. Do you mean the pieces in the back of the pic??? The ones that look like there's mold growing on them??? I'm a bit lost here Andy........

Mr.Dewire.... I see you're a little off pace there!!...
... What I meant was,I sprayed the camo colours AFTER the pics of the masking that I posted ;)
We'll see how it comes out in the morning, when the various masking stuff is removed :smiling3:

Fingers crossed for the great reveal - removal of masking. Good luck with the hairspray.

,.. evenin' guys....
I've done some more, put the gun assembly in,and also removed some of my home made masks...

...
IMG20230406161740.jpg
The assembly fits pretty good really, however,as I've seen whilst dry fitting,it may need a bit of ",persuading" to get a god, final, fit. ;)

Evening Chaps,
I've done some more detail painting, added some tiny bits to the gun assembly, and also put some of the upper hull stuff together... although,as previously mentioned, I'm going to tackle that in stages as it seems there could be a couple of fit issues ;)
IMG20230408173527.jpg
IMG20230408173556.jpg
....the afore mentioned subs,...
IMG20230408173930.jpg
..... and the bits that look awfull at the mo, mainly because they're upside down!! ;)....
IMG20230408174704.jpg
.... Gotta say that this is good fun. :smiling3:
More tomorrow for sure!
As always thanks for looking in,
Cheers for now,
Andy

Coming on beautifully Andy!
Thanks Andrew...
.... These Academy kits are rather nice, and for someone like me,who just wants a fairly good OOTB build they fit the bill ;)
..... although I must admit that Jakko was spot on about the accuracy of them if you want a FULL ON rendition, they're a little short.
But for me, it'll do just fine :smiling3:

That’s what counts :smiling3: My experience is that Academy kits build up easily and look the part, though if you know the subject you’ll spot all kinds of things that are slightly wrong, like angles and lengths that are off, that sort of thing. But you tend to get a lot in the box, and some kits have excellent parts that are good value for money when stealing them for other models ;)

Nice progress Andy. The interior really looks the part.
Cheers
P
Thanks very much for that. :smiling3:
As said earlier, with these "open cockpit" type of AFV,the interior is all the more important...I'm hoping to improve it much more as we go. ;)

Ok then Chaps,
I got some progress done over the holiday break, the pics are pretty rubbish because it's so dark outside, hence not really a good representation of the actual main colours..... but you get the idea ;)

There's still a few parts to fit yet, then some Decals and quite a bit of pigments/streaking.... but it's finally beginning to look like a Priest eh?!! :smiling3:
