Well I'm along for the ride!

Just how long is it when she is built?

Hope the graft goes well and you are soon up and at 'em in no time.

Looking good so far John. Couple of questions though. What's the build quality like and are the vehicles included?

Hi Gern the build quality is very good & I have not come across any bad fitting issues, all I will say is have a very sharp knife for all the very small parts as there are a lot of them, as for the vehicles they come with the kit.

I tried to find 1/144 AFV on line but could not find any, do you know of any !!.

Hi John. There is some 1/144 armour available - I found these on ebay with a quick search:

Some of them are ready-built and painted, but at least it's nice to know they're there if needed. There's also a Dora railway gun which looks impressive:

Thanks Dave for your kind help, I was thinking of doing a step by step build of this one iff there was any interest, never done it before but I'm willing to give it a go.

I think we're all interested in seeing how others work John - especially in pictures. Decisions on the order things are built and painted and tricks and techniques used are always useful as we come across things we've not done before or problems we need to solve.

Ok here we go, just a re-cap on what I have done to date & why.

The hull went together without a hitch, stern & prop section the same.

I have not glued the ramp sections together yet as the inside will need painting first, also I will not be putting the ramp hinge inside the ramp like the instructions say, I have glued the hinge to the hull & then test fitted it to make sure it fits & is in the right place.

Next I made a start on the bridge section, trying to remove as many of the join lines as I go along.
