... and I thought it was only me :tears-of-joy: :tears-of-joy: ;) . It happens all the time mate. The worst thing is I add on the extra links to make them equal again and then when I add them onto the model they are too long!! Whats that all about??? Its an age thing mate and your not alone.

However we do live with a ghost/ghosts in our house. We have had several unexplained situations that have arisen over the years. For example, once every time Lisa turned the light on in the kitchen, the light on my phone came on. When she turned it off the light on my phone went off. This happened several times for different lengths of time of turning the light on and off. However when we put other lights on in the house nothing happened. Our favourite one relates to Lisa's phone case where she keeps all our credit and debit cards. When she came down one morning they had been taken out of the phone case and stacked neatly behind the lounge table leg. Fortunately they are friendly ghost/ghosts so we don't mind. Happy Halloween!
That’s not ghosts….that’s the result of apprentice tasks for the young carpet monsters. You’re breeding the damn things!

Glad I'm not alone, but remembering your sheep wearing bulletproof vests when you caught all out are we to really believe you:smiling::smiling::smiling:

I’m in John. Glad your feeling better

Thanks Lee appreciate that.

Lots of things happening here at the Towers.
For one the track road wheels have all been changed to spoked and the track guards have again been altered. Some mistakes by the kit manufacture are the cause after I had read my T60 bible.
Not that any one would or me would have really bothered, but looking at the book is to blame :nerd:.

Fruils are done, just waiting for some treatment to arrive tomorrow and then some more painting can begin.

A few ideas for the diorama base in mind.
I do love reference books, have taken years and a fortune to build up my archives. Problem is I'll see a feature or detail on one particular production batch or Ausf. or Mark such-and-such, but want to add it whichever one I'm building because it's so darn cool. Makes it hard for me to want to stay within the lines, sigh.

Think your right Jim, I swear the tracks were the same length when I left them.

3 links are in the fluid as I write, leave them too long and they will either go completely black or be eaten away ;)
Hmmmmm...... paranormal activity..... mythical creatures from legend and lore..... age..... Nope. Nope. And Nope. You're huffing too much glue Mr. Race, back off of the Dave Ward special recipe TET stuff and you'll be alright.

Hey Ron, it's good to see I'm not the only one in this boat. I guess that's why I never finish anything. Too many little details to add and not enough time in this life to do it. Hope all is ok on you end Bro.........

Allen, yep half of my work I won't post online because it's a certainty to be called out by the History Professors lol ! As if this one or that one would ever be seen at EuroMilitaire or Moson anyway ! Ehh, at least I built it the way I wanted and can enjoy seeing it in the display case...

Due to The German AFV philosophy of last in first out you can find photos of almost any mix of features as shortages made use of old features on new build & rebuilds.

That is indeed what I think of before deciding to "go for it" Paul. Sure, there are still boundaries between plausible and outlandish, but most all know that, and even then there's always the "What-if 1946" segment of our hobby too !

Hi thought I would do an update.
Lots of things been happening here at Race Towers
Large scale remodeling of the garden , this has taken up a lot of time and physical effort.Taking down a largish rose frame which after some years ha as finely rotten at the base .Most of it is now in the wood store for the winter .

With some help from my good friend Allen ( Dude 1 ) I have been trying various methods of having the rockets firing and leaving the T60.
So far so good, need to dry brush the " smoke "
Thanks also to Tim for his advice on a suitable glue for the galvanized wire to the plastic.

With out more ado .

Since then the length of the flames has been increased .This entailed adding more wire to the rear, and adding colour pigments to the two part glue and then brushing some red .
Allen suggested the web for the smoke, works a treat and cheap as well.Probley have enough to add smoke to every kit I do, regardless of if it's needed or not .

Comments please as this is a new technic.
Thanks for looking in .
Dzhon .

The separate elements look very good John. The flame and smoke effect is excellent. In use though I think there would be more smoke up by the projectile and down around the launch platform and vehicle. Great idea as well. I don’t think I’ve seen this done on a rocket firing platform before. I’ve seen it done with napoleonic cannon though, usually with a cannonball visible at the barrel of the gun…..much simpler than what you are achieving here.

Hi John
Fire and smoke. Right up your street. It does look good though. What is that web stuff? Would the smoke be greyish where it is thickest?
Jim
Hope your gardening is done. If the weather with you is like it is here today you'll be better off indoors. It has thrown it down all day :worried::tired:

Not trying to steal John's thunder, but it's still in the planning/working stages and the smoke is in it's infancy. He hasn't even started with the coloring or the pastels yet. The webbing is Halloween spider web decoration in a bag. Comes with black plastic spiders too. Cheap, as I bought a bag with 9 spiders and a lot of webbing for €1,50 in the €1 store. It's tightly packed, but you can pull it apart and tease it into pretty cool looking smoke. Some of you may remember this,

I used the webbing (without the spiders) and various pastels to do it. We know John will nail this puppy for sure.

Sorry for the diversion Dude 2.............
