Very nice Andrew!
Man that things tiny!!
Hat's off to you with your progress so far Andrew... Looking great :smiling3:
Andy
That is small but the detail looks OK. Also it seems to be building up quite well .

Enjoy your break and time together with the sprogs.
Hi Andrew, I've just pulled up a seat, and you've gone on your jolly's. A nice start and not a bad looking kit for the scale.
You see, size doesn't matter. Looks good, great start.
Jim

Thanks as always for support chaps!! Unfortunately half-term is nearly over and we're out all of tomorrow but I'm hoping to have the engine and interior done before the weekend it out. A bit of an update will follow shortly!

Hi all

So whilst rattle-can priming Junior's Valentine - I want to try to protect his lungs from the crap we sometimes breath in - I also did the interior, engine and rota blades of this. I'm going to brush paint the interior. So little of will be seen there's no point getting the AB out.

ACW as usual.

I think I can lay on some cake......my daughter made some yesterday as it happens......in addition to tea we can also offer lattes, cappuccinos and espressos.

Gentleman, I regret to inform you both that none of the cake is left......!!!!

......where it has gone, I have no idea but suffice to say I'm unable to comment on unsubstantiated rumours that flecks of a funny colour green paint were found in the vicinity..... :anguished: :dizzy: ;)

Hi all

So just realised I forgot to the below with you.

I've now stuck the two halves together but this is what is looked like before I did.

Sorry the engine picture is a bit blurry.

Very nice Andrew.......light years ahead of me on this build thread.
Very nice Andrew, I'm with you, I too need an Optiviser these days :smiling:

Thanks gents for the support as always.

Managed to finish getting all the windows in - pre-masked to make life easier - this morning, before having to leave to take Junior to his football game. Currently sat in the car as kick-off is not for another half hour. Hoping to get final construction and priming finished this weekend.

What's the score ?!! :smiling3:
That's coming on really well Andrew, masking in that scale must be a proper nightmare!!
Looking forward to seeing it all together and in Primer !
Good stuff Sir,

Hi Andrew
The little whirlybird is coming on a treat. Very yummy looking cake but I'll stick to tea with it even if you're kindly offering posh coffees.

Hi all

So this little gunship is now all buttoned up and all appendages attached

Unfortunately my own incompetence bit me on the posterior at this stage :crying: :crying: :tired: .....

Despite a dry fit suggesting the two halves should line up perfectly, this proved not to be the case....I can only assume the interiors were not quite glued in straight on the first half. The end result is a bit of a lip all the way around. :tired: :tired: :tired: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:

Also, you may recall I messed up on the rockets and gun pods. Despite my best efforts to adapt the alternative mounting brackets and the port one working well - the starboard one really did not want to play ball........but I got there in the end...if you don't look too closely.

The only thing that did work as planned was the window masking. None of the windows have any frames - they are 'pure' window so to speak, so I cut the mask to shape off the model simply by using the window as a template. I also use a mix of Vallejo gloss varnish and their Green Game Wash 73.205 to do the roof window tints (see below).

It's also had a coat of primer but I'm just waiting for it to dry before I take some pictures.

ACW as usual.

Plenty of time for a comeback...
... They just need a nice, calm half time pep talk to keep the confidence up ;)

Unfortunately they lost 6-2. The opposition are better but not that much better....for some reason Junior's team were not playing as team - possibly the worst 'team' performance I have seen his started playing a year ago.....

Thanks Jim. Tea is not a problem! I'll make sure I have the kettle on!

Hi Andrew
Shame the two fuselage halves didn't behave but it looks as if you've sorted it. Glad the masking went ok because helicopters do have a lot of glass.
