This just gets better and better, as always Paul!!! Thanks for naming the house on the street after me. I'm honored!!! The whole setting in the last pic is fantastic, with the hof and all, it must have been a bit of work to get together. Great stuff!!!

Prost

Nothing to be scared of there Paul. It’s looking good from where I’m sitting. Like the prop blur as well. Always been tempted to do that, but never have….maybe one day…..

Well my Floquil Military Colors Sky Gray has gone 'off'. Strained & mixed a couple times to no avail. The model is molded in a almost sky gray to begin with so I thought all was fine but it came off the brush gritty & dried even grittier & didn't cover the OD at all. It did however point out filler needed areas quite clearly. I thought I'd done a better job on the gear doors.

Bummer........could it be the thinner causing that reaction? If I remember correctly, Floquil used a different type for their enamels than other mfgs........Diosol. I haven't used it for years. Not sure how it differs from other solvent base thinners. Hope you get it sorted out.

Found some Model Master Acryl in the bargain bucket of MLHS, also grabbed #00, 1 & 3 red sable brushes while there as mine are several decades old & petty tired.

New old paint brushed on beautifully, although somewhat like semi-gloss. Hopefully will take decals w/o pre-gloss. Now to fix the gear doors.

You managed that nicely Paul.
Think I've got some photos of a diorama showing the Red ball Express from the show. Not got round to sorting them yet, but will do .

I forgot to mention the P47 is 1/72 by Academy. Excellent fit & detail is outstanding. My problems with the gear doors stems from modifying a model designed for static display to airborn w/pilot. I'm sure it would look fine as designed.

Looks fine as it is Paul,........I'm curious as to how it will be integrated into the Red Ball Dio.

Paul this was the dio I saw at the show, based on the Redball Express.

Antenna wire broke loose, but much better pic.

Now for the 42,000 little decals that you won't be able to see at this scale. Can't get over how excellent the panel detail is.
