You're doing a good job on bringing this together Graham.
Cheers Ralph\ said:You're doing a good job on bringing this together Graham.
I think that could be said for the whole of this lamp build Quite proud of myself though as I remember a time not so long ago when this would have gone in the bin lol :D\ said:Yes it does look good.
Sounds like you had a touch of AMS putting the lenses in
You should be proud especially as you said not so long ago it would be binned.\ said:I think that could be said for the whole of this lamp build Quite proud of myself though as I remember a time not so long ago when this would have gone in the bin lol :D
Cheers John, hope you enjoy and don't take offence to my none too serious approach to modelling\ said:love afv kits and love the fact your pimping it up...just gone through your thread that light thingy is a model in its self and looks the dogs great work
and that resin interior looks superb will keep up with this mucker
You have to do this kit Scott, even without the resin it is a good kit. I am sure you could easily scratch build the generator and the supplied raised rear floor is more than good enough and a lot easier to fit. Just let me finish mine first so people can forget it before they see how it should be done\ said:That's looking the business Graham.
Scott
Tamiya Yamato 1/700 coming up soon Ralph although it is already started but not too far into it. However, at the time I believe it was the biggest battleship/battle cruiser? Of its day so that is cheating a bit I suppose\ said:You should be proud especially as you said not so long ago it would be binned.
Now you're getting used to small stuff, have a go at a 1/700 ship with detail set:D
The weird thing is that I said I wasn't going to bother as it was my intention to close it up. In fact, the covers are now glued on so even the odd looking black colour infrared lens will never be seen again. But when it came to assembling it, I just could help doing it. The mirror was even sprayed with Tamiya X-1 gloss black followed by Alclad Aluminium (I didn't have any Chrome)! It is perverse because I cannot stand unseen detail lol\ said:Nice work on the lamp Graham - it's funny how all of us put so much time & effort into something that'll never be seen!
You & me both! The pursuit of perfection may be an impossible dream, but if it's not done it nags away at the mind\ said:The weird thing is that I said I wasn't going to bother as it was my intention to close it up.
