Indeed Tim & Jim It's really necessary on this kit...and plus to give the "thin can" look the panel must change... more pics to come....the hull will take a lot of time...since also all the degaussing cables will be fitted... l know l know l'm crazy..aren't we all :smiling5: :smiling5: :smiling6: :smiling6:

SO Greg from what i understand you are sanding the hull down to be thinner ? an are you keepin the full hull on your dio ? an im lookin forward to seein this come to fruitaion as this will be a long build what with all your A/M bits just like my tiger build as ive still got loads to do on my build as well but thats the whole point in my opinnion as if you finished it in a week you then got to think well what next

Dear all here is today's update on the diorama Battle of Coral Sea...all the panels are placed...but there are a lot of gaps so plastic putty is needed...all the portholes in the upper part of the hull are poorly made. Filled them and will be re-done...enjoy

Indeed the idea is to have the proper paneling the hull is well made but not as it should be...
And yes the hull will go undewater check the pic

There it is Chris if you look at the picture you will see 2 oval portholes that were covered with putty then below that you can see the round portholes with the putty "corrections"...hope it helps20210824_101138.jpg

OH YES Greg i see what you mean thanks for the pic an im really looking forward to seeing this build as i dont think anybody on here has done a dio of a air craft carrier bein bombed an such so something new great stuff more please

Dear all here is today's update on the diorama battle of Coral Sea...first of all the rope holes in the bow are totally wrong...so l changed them...then l started the "thin-canning" and you can also see the position of the damages on may the 8th...enjoy
