Hi been to the local woodyard for a scrap of wood to mount her on.

Plastic strip to reinforce the gun ports (seen on YouTube) and the closest colour I could find to how she is now also a copper bottom :smiling3:

A bit confused It says I need 18 x 13mm loops but on the plan I see 4 required?

I have ordered the admirals entrance and steps (3D printed) so I need to take the existing steps off and cut a hole but I will wait till I get it.
Can't use Tamiya extra thin quick setting has a bad reaction to the plastic similar to the reaction I got from the Millennium falcon (the shock breaks the plastic)

Can't help with the loops, sorry. Steady progress. I think most metallic finishes work best over a gloss black surface. Don't know why that is :rolling:

Good start Brian. I will be following this with interest. If you need any help with French translation or any other ship details just give me a shout. In your place I would wait until the channels (the boards that hold the lower shroud deadeyes) are fitted and then it will be clearer which length of loops are necessary.

It's a bit hard to see which colour the loops have as they are on shadow. Would it be better if you wrote by the loop the size it should be. Could save a confusion along the way.

There was no hairy fairy's on the victory ;) ...... no stokers either ......hoist the main engines and all that
I beg to difer!! I was on her in 1990(ish). Albeit only for a visit!!! The click bed would have been invented a lot earlier if Wafu's had served on the Victory.
All that aside, superb job so far, really looking forward to you doing the rigging, I did a bit of rigging when I was 12 for my uncle on his Victory. (He had fingers like sausages so he listed me to do the fiddly bits. I think he used waxed cotton!
