ooh very nice ,Peter.
One day I might try painting camo myself, but I'm keeping my 120mm figures for when I can't do the 54mm any longer:confounded:

Neil - I try to avoid camo if I can, but sometimes ya jus' gotta.

Ricardo - Mmmm, DPM! Still haven't mastered it, but I'll give it a go.

Tim - Thank you. Nice to get a bit of colour onto a WW2 subject.

Nick - Thank you. Another couple of days should see it done.

Again you hit the spot Peter with the camo. .

Feel for your daughter and little one are you able to face time?

Cheers John

Yes, we're always talking. Katherine hosts a yoga session every day involving four generations of the family's women, though the youngest is perhaps not so interested.

Good choice of figure (and camo) Peter.
By coincidence you’ve actually chosen a subject I’ll be looking into with a few figure sculpts. The 12ss pic you’ve chosen actually depicts Obersturmbannführer Max Wunsche (wounded - bandaged head) with members of the 25th panzer grenadier regiment. I’m intending to sculpt around 10 figures to go with my 1/16 Panther when complete. This regiment attacked the Canadian Regina Rifles on the night of 8-9th June 1944 with around 20 Panther tanks. The camouflage worn by the regiment seems to be a real mixed bunch - Italian, Plane Tree etc etc.

I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with this Peter as I have a keen interest (as many do) with this particular chapter of the war.

And by the way, it looks fabulous so far :thumb2:

Cheers

Glad this is of interest Paul. There is a Max Wunsche figure by Life Miniatures available:

I may have a go at this one day. Sounds like a great project you've got there - look forward to seeing it in due course.

The Life Miniatures figure is a great figure depicting Wünsche on the Eastern front (probably Kharkov). There’s also the 1/10 Young’s Miniatures bust (in Panther cupola, Normandy ‘44) seen here...

Ralph - Cheers matey. At least that part is over.

Andrew - Many thanks.

Paul - A great bust and similar to Jason's Tiger commander.

Greg - I like painting Italian camo (or dislike doing it the least). I think I'll do the helmet cover in something entirely different, like Plane Tree.

Morning Peter

Your Italian camo is superb, well done.

The helmet in another camo scheme will be a great contrast.

Looks like you'll have a good day with a little camo and some field grey.

The weather looks to be staying reasonably good with another cold snap next weekend?

Hopefully it wont be too cold

Nearly finished all the tidying, and feeling like getting back to my desk which is in a worse state than either the attic or the garage!!

I could be with the relaxation of getting some painting and building done!

Have a good day with the paints

Regards

Hi Steve

I hope you manage to get to your desk today - you deserve the respite. Glad you like this one so far, and here's today's efforts:

I got the legs done at least. I was planning to do the helmet, but a sinusitis surge is sending me back to bed.
