Today swmbo headed off to the south on an emergency babysitting job giving me 5 days at the desk . Today’s modelling was swapped for becoming an apprentice plumber, so many pipes . A couple of minor issues today, you really have to focus when doing each section to orientate parts correctly. It hasn’t helped with parts being incorrectly numbered then parts you have to attach missing from diagrams a couple of steps later
Nice plastic which cleans up nicely too. You need to really plan ahead for painting as stuff gets hidden. Anyway upward and onward.

Found another minor mistake today when building the main pod. Firstly the locating points for the ends and walls aren’t great but was ok after I sort of tack welded them in place first, after that it all squared off nicely. When it was built there were four slots on the roof and no parts shown to fit, however on the instructions it showed pieces fitted. I found them on the sprue so all good

Wow Mick, that sure is a box of parts you have there. It does look like you're ready to shoot some paint on them. You always have to love destructions!!!...It's good to see you got your balls squared away too!!!..........Bring on the wet stuff, youngster.............

Mick all looking good so far.
Cheers pal it’s moving along

Coming along nicely Mick.
Thank you Ian

Cool.
Never saw this show much but remember it well.
Thank you, I’ve been doing some rewatching
Oh wow, some fiddly painting needed to get all the angles :surprised:
It’s a nightmare Andy as you have to do a lot of painting as you go along. Some sections have to be fully painted as when the cages are on you can’t spray behind

Lovely crisp build Mick, I remember doing mine and loved making it, I did the'after the Moon buggered off' version and making had to go to Mars kinda thing. Great show, superb sets, crap episodes but, if they had a Eagle in them who cared!

That’s exactly as I remember them Eddie….great sets and model work but really dull storylines…..
