A thought just occurred to me: are you going to build 1:1 scale ammunition for this one too? :smiling3:

Thanks Scottie - getting there, slowly

Jakko - now that would be an impressive display piece, especially if weighted. A length of HDPE gas main might make a good starting point, or an old chimney pot

You know they weighed up to about 375 kg, right? :smiling3:

Shouldn’t be too hard:

O6ZP0VT.jpg (from Tanks Encyclopedia)

A length of 37.5 cm diameter pipe with a nose cone and a few bands added, and you’re pretty much there …

Nice work Simon. Was the kit crane pretty bad or just inaccurate?

Hi Steve - kit version a little simplified to aid moulding and a bit weedy looking compared to photos of real thing

I had this same problem on my 1/87 scale Morser. Ended up rebuilding it also. Yours is coming along nicely Mr. T. Rick H.

Morning Simon
That looks good, mind you mk1 looked good to me. Must have been a long job judging by the time you posted the finished effort :rolling:
Stay safe.

Thanks all - still needs work but I think Mk2 may survive

John - morning. Yes it is the RPT cutter, bought from John at the shop. Rather expensive but a very nice piece of kit and much better than the Cutter. Used it to make the arm with the 45deg angle on the end
