What size is the mesh and how thin is the 'wire'?
At this scale, the 'wire' is 0.2mm and the mesh is 1mm

You would be surprised, the printers really aren't expensive for what they will do.YES I ALSO fully aggree Mike an wish i could understand this cad but its way over my head an yes the card would be seriouly hit with the cost of buyin one of these an Nick is this cad stuff very heavy at all or about the same as 1mm plasticard thickness wheight ?

you can pick up a Mars 2 which has a build volume of 129 mm x 80 mm x 160 mm - big enough for most model bits, and has a 12 micron resolution for under 200 quid. the stuff out of it is as good or better than injection moulded kits surface finish wise.
The material I print (there are many others) is called ABS like resin, its about the same weight, texture, hardness, flexibility and strength(ish, a bit more brittle) of the stuff hard hats are made from.
there are more interesting resins, including one that will gas off to nothing used for lost wax casting if you want metal parts. I have clear and rubber-like resins too I haven't experimented with yet.
Got around to taking some proper fotos today.
I'm fairly pleased how this as turned out.
I've got a few modifications to the tank and mesh print for the final version but for a prototype, I've managed to solve most of the initial problems I had with it I think.
