Tim & Rick, thanks guys, it does look a bit like a Jagdtiger with the big, slab sided superstructure, it could be a Stug on steroids!
There are a lot of nice builds being posted on here.

Been a while since I put anything up on this thread........so I ended up with a bunch of Brekina 1-87 scale Borgward B-4500 trucks and being as how the Germans used the smaller B-3000 3 tonner by the thousands I figured I could make a slight few alterations and come up with a reasonable likeness. Here is what I have so far....P1011848.JPGP1011849.JPGP1011850.JPGP1011851.JPGP1011852.JPGP1011853.JPG
There are still several things that need to be added but you get the idea. Rick H.

Thanks Lee, just messing around with this in between putty sessions on the Mercedes 1500. I'll be getting some paint on it next week hopefully. Thanks for stopping by. Rick H.

Hi Mark, the canvas tarp was a discard from a Ford 3 tonner that was used for another build. The joys of leftovers! Just a slight bit of filing to get it to fit properly.....my measurements were off a few thousandths of an inch. The bed was supposed to be the same dimensions as the one for the Ford......my bad. Glad you like it. Rick H.

Man I love close up photography!! I'll be taking care of that "glaring" joint where I spliced the bed back together after shortening it. Amazing what shows up when you get the wet stuff on! Rick H.

Hi Paul, actually these are in between, a standard 3 ton wheel is .425 in dia. and a MB. 4500 (4.5 ton) is .467 dia....these are .437 dia. difference is .012 or a scale 1" not enough to worry about and the added bonus of the proper wheel type as opposed to trying to come up with a viable alternative? I'll play this hand. ;)
