Top work Andy.
The camo looks really good. You should be well chuffed with it.
I had much the same feeling when I painted my Sparviero.

Well done. :thumb2:
Ron
Thanks Ron, I'm happy with it so far, once I settle into a session on the camo time just flies!! :smiling3:
I like that Smitty! you just keep on theraputin' away there and this will be the Bomb before you know it!! :thumb2:
Cheers Rick, the "theraputin" has come to an end...... ;)
Excellent Camo work bud. Going to look good when it’s done….
Hi Tim,thanks for that,and yes,I hope so!! :smiling3:
Been watching this come together young Mr Smith.
Paintwork is tops . Love to Rach .
Cheers John, good to see you look in,
Rach says"hi" to you both too,(as do I of course!!). :smiling3:
Well the Camo is definitely not “blown” as you previously worried about :tears-of-joy:

Top work Andy, well done :thumb2:

Geoff.
Thanks Geoff, yep, I've got away with it so far! ;)
That paint work looks great Andy.
Hi Ian, thanks very much :smiling3:
Very effective.
Cheers Paul, it sure is an unusual looking pattern eh? :smiling3:

Well then Chaps, I've got to the point where enough is enough, and I have decided to stop tweaking the camo,or "fiddlin" as Ron put it ;) ,(all the while,as I was looking at it and thinking,"that bit there needs a touch up",or, " I'll just fill that in a bit more",I could sense him sat behind me,tutting, and shaking his head!! ;))
So here's the finished article, now coated in gloss varnish, awaiting decals.......

Can't see them there, but I've also painted up the nose cannon and two forward facing mgs on the mid canopy..... also, the rear gunner's mg

Finally for this update, the Pilot, done using "The Smythe method",as apposed to the "Marlow method", it's quite similar to his.... just nowhere near as good !! :tears-of-joy:

... until this evening then.....
Thanks as always for looking in,any thoughts, hints or tips much appreciated :smiling3:

Forgot to say....
A big THANK YOU to Ian M and Allen Dewire for their help on suggestions for applying the MIG Kawasaki Green with a brush, cheers guys :thumb2:....
I practiced with mixing it with water, mixing it with Mig Thinners, and just straight from the pot.... strangely enough,(to me, anyway), the best result was by far, straight from the pot :smiling3:
I've put some "smoke" behind the exhaust ports and done the props too....

The yellow strips are actually decals.... in hindsight, it'd have been a lot less hassle to have painted them on !! ;)

The "Smythe" Method"??? What the H*ll is that? :tears-of-joy: Looks the Bomb Smiffy.....in fact, if I don't squint when I look at that camo, it sorta makes me a little dizzy and disoriented.....well, more than usual anyway.;) I think you have a winner here so get them decals on and show us what it's sposed to look like.:thumb2:

.... and the Decal spree has begun..
IMG20230721180510.jpg
As you can see, they come as several parts, mainly background, and others to add on top!!....
IMG20230721180517.jpg
IMG20230721180524.jpg
Then a disaster happened..
IMG20230721184712.jpg
... therefore, some repair work was required!! Then,I put some "Top Decals" in place...

More to do of course, and a little tidying, but we're nearing the end now mefinks ;)

Well, I'm calling it "finished" now,
Had enough fiddling with it!! ;)
... Don't think I'll ever brush paint a plane again, although I must admit that I've been very impressed with this Mig Ammo set :thumb2:
A couple of pics here, and then I'll get some in the "completed" section.Just did a bit of weathering and a Florey wash,to show a bit of usage, but not loads...

IMG20230725162846.jpg
IMG20230725162642.jpg

... I'll put up a more detailed post tomorrow in the completed section.
Thanks to ALL who have taken the time to post, comment,or just look in, it's much appreciated
