Well as I said this will be my last 35er for now and it'll be a test bed for quite a few things I want to try the kit its self was a ebay grab it came in at under a tenner inc postage so not to much at stake. At the risk of repeating myself no such thing as a bad kit just some are better than others and in the case of RPM if it goes like their 72nder's ive built that will be most of them ,still I havent paid for shake and bake so I'm not expecting it ,it all looks pretty crispy only down side being rubber tracks but I'll worry about them when it happens.

Single sheet instructions keep it easy to keep up with

And finally the plastic 20231105_144710.jpg

That looks a nice little kit and definitely value for money. Can't even attempt to pronounce the title . If it turns out as well as your last baby 1/35 tank it will be a stunner.

Should be another good one. Crack on buddy…..

PS, I’d guess at it being Polish, but I’m quite often wrong ;)

Okay, so thought this one looked a bit odd as it's not in my two books of Polish Vickers. And they made a LOT of variants
Not as many as the Soviet T-26 sub-variants...

I blame World of Tanks for the proliferation of 'paper' tracks, like there aren't enough REAL obscure prototypes
And the Vickers E-types need more recognition, being about the most successful (for users and versions) tank we never had

Well it might be a " fake " but will be interesting to watch the build . I've made a few RPM kits, not the best at times but fun and cheap. Some have loads of flash and a few quirks but at the price so what .

Thanks for joining in thoes that request seats help your self's please don't feed the dog with the refreshments as its getting a bit rotund.
As for the kit I must admit I was drawn in by the box art first then put the bid in ,alas like a lot of kit box art figures are not included but it looks cool with him hanging out with them beating a hefty retreat. As for paper panzers cool I'll take one any time if it floats my boat(wasn't aware at the time that this was one)over tigers mk3's and 4's stugs panthers of hundreds of diffrent A-z's oh yeh if you look closely they've got diffrent wheel nuts same with shermans. But if they float your boat good on ya every man to himself. Must have a look about and see what polish green is cant say I recall seeing a jar/bottle with Polish green written on it no shortage of dunkel this and dunkel thats but at the end of the day its green so it'll probably get the eeny meany miny mo that one will do. So by the looks of it it won't be that long in the building stage famous last words but hopefully back soon please keep the comments and encouragement coming Dave

That’s because of the typo ;) Łt but a capital L with a diagonal stroke, and pronounced almost exactly like w.

As for the model, in the last issue of De Tank, the club magazine of the Dutch Armour Association, was an article about building this exact kit. It has some background on the what-if nature of it, and speculation about why RPM might have chosen this subject.

Hakata do a set of Polish colours. I got a set in with the iBG TKS a couple of years back. Their Polish green was a lightish- medium greyish-green, if that's not a complicated description. RLM82, but 'greyer' would do, or Gunze H319 Light Green.
Or an interior/cockpit green that's not too 'yellow'
Does that make sense?

Back in my late teens I went out with a wonderful girl who's parents were polish ,he fought with the Polish at casino her mother surviving the German occupation still when I used to call for her they would speak to each other in Polish when asking the girl friend what was said she always used to reply that I didn't want to know so my grip on the language hasent improved suffice to say that despite what it says on the box that's deffo a picture a tank :tongue-out3: :thumb2:

So woke the other half with a cuppa took the mutt out for our morning hobble got home and waved the other half goodbye wishing her a good day at work I know but a little creeping goes a long way. Free for the day made a start not expecting any favours from the kit got the three piece hull tub up and running none of your one piece slide moulding here ,now time to confess its quite obvious I've a cement fetish no paticuler favorite i like em all

Now thoes that know me a bit better will know that I think OOB is good so imagine my horror when I found that to build the box picture you have to remove the compartment lid with the two holes(I presume for the twin turret version)and replace with the appropriate one WHAT should have checked the instructions first then found something else to build.
20231106_092316.jpg
Bugger ive started so hacked the offending middle off and sawed along each piece at a splay as close as possible then sanded and scraped the last little bit to the top edge if tha makes sense as the front and back edges on the new part were sloped/bevelled. Not I thought strong enough to rebuild making it a three piece unit risked building the front and back

With all didgets crossed could only hope

So, a kit sold as a variant that you actually have to go old-school cutting to convert? And they didn't include an extra rear hull piece to make it more straightforward?
Blimey
This gets more interesting as we go on!

Weird … Why didn’t they simply mould a replacement for all of part 19? Well, probably the answer is “cost”, but still …

Ah but the plot gets gloopyer thats part 19 yeh well its part 19 on the spru diagram ? Some of the sprues are numbered on the revers side of the diagram layout with totally diffrent numbers ,not that I got caught out by it but you have to orientate the sprue the same as the diagram to find the piece on the unnumbered side because the numbers on the spru are bogus. And of course the layout is on the other side of the single sheet instructions just to add to it. Dave
