Just had a quick catch-up. That really is coming on nicely. Can't imagine the design team had ever used an artillery piece in their life...that must have been awful to work in.

Look forward to the next installment!

Hi Andrew, I agree very cramped and with the sun beating down on it, the heat inside must have been awful despite the large doors.

The next stage has been competed. Decals have been applied, followed by an oil dot wash and a dark brown pin wash. When this had dried a matt coat has been applied.

Next up adding the dust and the burnishing of high wear parts.

For those who may be wondering I bent the left hand rail just to give it a bit of damage. Well actually I caught it and bent it :smiling:

cheers

The weathering is finally finished, with only a little bit of chipping.

the wheels had chunks cut out of the rubber, now they have been painted and weathered I think they look ok.

The back decks have received the worst of the wear as I would imagine they would have taken a beating from the crew jumping all over them with hob nail boots.

Next stowage, base and crew.

comments most welcome and please be critical.

Yup....it's not the prettiest girl in the pageant, but I bet she could hold 'er own when it comes to sheer firepower! Nice result Mr. Scottie. To my eye the finish is Jussssssst right.

Rick, she is a bit of an ugly duckling but she did carry an awesome piece of artillery.
Rick is right , perfect . Definitely heading for the Dogs !
Thank you John.
Wow!

I'm not really sure what to add to that, other than, do you want an apprentice?
Andy, you definitely don't need to serve an apprenticeship.
