Oh my God...

Observing the photo, I notice, that I have done everything erroneous...

Will try your tip Steve, light grey or white dry brush. And a dark colour on the end of each exhaust.

Have to said, I'm quite afraid, they are a very little pieces!

Hi all.

Errhhhh......what I can say!!

I’m feeling really disappointment.

Have my new bottle of Alclad (aluminium colour) and have my airbrush ready too. After a very accurate primer coat, it’s time to paint the aluminium colour on my plane..... but what happen?

After a thinned coat of Alclad, all the details of the kit are disappearing!!! I have been stop rapidity!! What kind of painting it is??!!!

Then I changed for a bottle of acrylic aluminium.....just take a look on the photos. :eek:

The upper side is painted with acrylic and the underside is with Alclad. Terrific difference!!!

Can someone tell me if I do something wrong.....or it’s just the laquer.....?

Ps: I shake for a while the bottle, I thinned with Alclad products, and my skill level with the airbrush is standar, it's not a problem of excess of painting.

I'm not an expert here, but tried the alclad for the first time two days ago. I sprayed it straight out of the bottle and was fine.

Did you say you thinned the alclad?

Is the paint cold, that could have a baring on the finish. To me it looks like too things, one, not mixed enough or thinned enough, two, not seating correctly on the laquer coat.

alclad is ready to use out of the bottle. you say thinners but was it the cleaner you used. you are lucly that it did not melt the plastic...

a few hours with some 36000 corn polish cloth and you will be good to spray it again. Without the thinners.
