Hope you'll follow as I start this. More buildings , as I turn to France for this street scene. There's something about French streets of the 1930/40s , the worn weathered shop fronts and houses just lend them selves to modelling .

First the base , other frames from other shops are available.
Note the small drawing to the right of the frame , this is all I require in the way of plans.

Material and tools , love the Foam Works tools, well made and allow for very precise cuts . To the right of the straight cutter is the cheaper angled cutter . Just needs careful set up.IMG_20230526_202711180.jpg Kappa Line, the only decent foam board if your going to scribe or imprint .Not held by most model or craft shops, so you have to buy from the 4 D model shop in London . The white block of XPS also came from them .To the left is a scrap box of black XPS foam , this is 20mm think. Perfect thinness for scribing and then PVA gluing to the cheaper white foam board on the right. This is what I use for the shape of the buildings.

With the frame filled over the glass using cheap white foam board the Kappa Line is fixed using PVA to the whole thing .
Using any thing to hand to hold it while it dries .

Come the morning this will be fully dried and ready for marking out for the buildings and pavements .
Refreshments available, contact Messer's Dude1 and Mini Me, who are on hand to assist with seating ect .

There might be figures , definitely civilians, but maybe some Germans and some form of transport .
Hopefully an interesting build to follow .
John .

I'm in, being as how I was so conveniently "volunteered" Usher duties!.....and what scale is this rendering coming to life in? Seemed like an awful lot of buildings in the "weeee" sketch to be cramming them into a 12X10" frame. ;)

Always glad to help out Dude 2. You sure don't waste any time between builds, do you....

You got it easy Bro, as you have a flashlight and all you have to do is seat people. Just don't bean them with the flashlight if they take a nap.........Me, I gotta be making tea and snacks Rick. Everyone here knows I can't even boil water without burning it!!!...Oh, and bring a pencil sharpener and some erasers for Andy T too!!!....................

Prost
