I'll go with Royal Welsh Fusiliers. My source says both wear the green lanyard.

I think it's now used by the Mercian Regiment.

I don’t want to be a pedant Tim seeing as you said it before but added the Welch Fusilers bit.
It is in fact the 3rd Battalion Parachute Regiment. The green lanyard identifies the battalion and is also the colour of their DZ flash. 2 Para wear blue and 1 Para wear red lanyards.

Your go.

Damn, the 2 Para bit was a typo! I meant 3 Para as in my first answer.

Anyway, I think it's Jon's.

Fleshettes from beehive round used in VN? Looks big enough for 152mm used on Sheridan. I believe there was a 90mm round also. PaulE

Can’t be much else, I agree. I’ve not seen a photo of them like this before, though.

It's a large drum of flechettes used ,as Paul said, in the beehive round.Used particularly by Sheridans but did you know they were also fired by the Ontos? News to me.
Over to you Paul.

There is a photo on Pinterest labelled San Shiki shell which is the same photo as I've used. The San Shiki was also a Beehive shell but I'm pretty sure this is a bundle of flechettes as delivered to troops in Vietnam.

They were fired from pretty much any American weapon from shotguns on up in calibre:

And here’s a 90-mm round:
