Update....

I've added a final step under the bridge. This sort of evens out most of the steps.

Also, I've started to colour the stream and the banks.

I've made the wheel support and mill race from bits of foam board stuck together and started the painting process.

You might just spot the small retaining wall below the wheel. Again from foam board.

I took this picture before the small, under the bridge step was added....

Axle support thingy added and more weathering.

Pushing quietly on.....

I've covered the polystyrene beads.
I used watered down PVA and floor sweepings sprinkled on.

The strange white bits have been left devoid of muck. This will allow the two ends of the bridge to sit in, rather than on the surface. Thus avoiding a ridge.

The bridge is now in place and ready for weathering and blending in.....

Coming along nicely Ron, there's a fish ladder on the river by the weir near me. I don't think there are any migrating fish in the river, but there are fish!

Thanks Tony and Graeme.
I suspect this build has run its course so I might as well just post the salient stages.

I made a wall from foam board and fixed it either side of the bridge to stop idiots falling into the water.

I'm still with you Ron and playing ketchup as usual. I really love your imagination and the ideas for improvements/additions never stop. I do wonder if your never ending supply of floor sweepings will run out. You must have been saving it in jars for a long time. It always does the trick though and looks so natural...

Allen, thank you for your very nice comments. Just the tonic I need right now.
I have a 'Heroes' plastic tub full of sweepings. Other chocolate sweeties in tubs are available......

Thanks again.

But are other sweepings available?

Excellent work as always but do we get a hint about the squatters or are you gonna leave us in suspenders as usual?

There used to be a thing called 'The Darwin Award' that went to the individual who removed himself from the gene pool (Died) by doing something so unbelievably stupid as to stand out above all others that year (also known as ..."hold my beer" or "watch this" moments). Thus such things as warnings & safety additions that are superfluous to anyone w/IQ above 50 are prefixed w/Darwin as w/o them the pool would be improved.
