Coming on nicely John, despite the for issues and the piece going missing.

It's too bad you had to eat all those popsicles to get enough sticks to build that nice wood load bed just to watch it go up in smoke.....any chance of just a small conflagration without too much damage? Rick H.

Hi Rick, ok I won't completely burn it, just enough to have some damage. The tarp has yet to be made along with some wire hoops.

John Race staging a small conflagration? No chance. :smiling5:

Andy.
Well Andy it will be slight less intense than before, manly due to complains from management about setting the top of the freezer on fire:smiling3:

Right Andy.........Mad as a March Hare when it comes to fire...
Who me, surely not.:smiling3::smiling3::smiling3::nerd:

oh lol that would be right the same with Dragon kits ,they would be rolling on the floor
laughing at us ;)
B****y things Moni, I bet they indeed do laugh in the design office. They have every right too as were stupid enough to try :smiling3:.

Just removed very carefully those tracks on the bar, guess what, yes some fell apart. The rest can be fitted on to the model no and the attempt to do the curved will follow. Bit of masking up to do as I don't want to ruin that engine.

Matron has just turned up and is sitting in the kitchen having tea, better go .

Hi John
Shame the fuel tanks had to go. I think the more you "mess with" a kit the more fit problems you get. You sort of put one thing right and then find that has thrown something else out. How people like Steve, Mike, Scottie and Jakko cope I just don't know :rolling:
Load bed looks nice and the tracks seem to be going ok.
You mentioned FIRE!!! It's fun, fun, fun all the way :tongue-out3:

Hi Andrew, sorry missed you on the next page. Unfortunately things have gone from bad to worse, more on that later ( sounding like a tv program now )

Hi Jim, damned thing, think the internal floor pan on the cab was too far back.which I did. Instructions again. Yes your right, do one thing , then find the next doesn't fit .

---------------------------------------------------------------

Tonight has NOT been fun, far from it.

Tracks, regardless of using a slow glue for the curve they just don't fit.
Unfortunately plastic tracks and I just don't get on.While I admire those of you that seem to sale through gluing and fitting, they just put me off from modelling.
Now it looks like the other side will be as bad so the only thing now to save this becoming a farce is to show the model as a wreak , with fitters about to save the engine. Yes there will be fire damage to the load bed, perhaps a road wheel blown off and a smashed up track.
Sad as it is, I just can't manage these tracks, and quite seriously I'd like to see one built and how they managed it .
As soon as I've got a little further with the bed and cab fitting it can be masked up and sprayed.
Then the real fun, the diorama and the fire :smiling::smiling::smiling::nerd:

Bad news about the tracks John but I am sure the finished wreck will look the dogs. I have that model on my to get list but perhaps a rethink is in order.

Aw that's a bummer John, sorry man... hey, there's always mud-in-a-jar to help hide it too.... I can visualize that tractor tearing through a muddy field. At any rate- awesome crafting with that wooden bed though !!

JR, don't beat yourself up over a poorly designed kit.....it ain't worth it. I'm quite certain you will get it sorted in the end. Hang in there Buddy. :thumb2: Rick H.

It's ok Ron, realised some things I can't manage, so a wreak it will be.

At least I can do buildings !:smiling2:
That's quite the challenge you have there mate. Glad you will be able to salvage something from this project. Good luck with the rest of the build

Thanks Steve, the only way is forward. The challenge now will be to make it look realistic as battle damaged and parts recoverable.

To be fair Rick I think its more me, but buildings and dios are more my thing.

Thanks for the support all. Art least the mojo is still up there.

Why lets tracks bother me , just carry on and enjoy the next part.

Tried again this morning to see if holding the tracks at right angles and pushing down would work.Well on the odd one it did , they snapped into place, but others that were as clean just didn't want to play. So took the lenghts that did and stuck them on, followed by the cab and load bed. The joys of CA !

The bottom photo , above the broken track there will have to be a hit on the chassis destroying the track. Same to the front , with the blown off idler.

Thanks for looking in.
Dzhon.
