No Youngerthanme, you just like to look at the pretty pictures and leave all the big words to us oldies.... :nerd:

Damn Olderthanme, You just may be right there...........

Great idea Youngerthanme, but only you could get ripped off in the 1euro store for 1.50euro. (Sorry do not have euro sign on my keyboard, only have 1950 keyboard).
Olderthanyou.

Funny, as my 1960 keyboard doesn't have a Pound sign either. I went by the €1 store earlier and the same bag of webbing is now smaller and costs €2 to buy. I think you get less spiders too!!! Damn gangsters they are.......

Great to see you haven't lost your touch in your old age Mike.....

Prost
Youngerthanyou (Ret. almost)

PS, I try not to suggest things like Rick and you to our buddy John. We want to keep him around for a while and in one piece...........

'Ats OK Mike, I don't have a pound key either......I think my keyboard is racist LOL :tongue-out3: ;) By the way....you didn't mention the bench Fairy,......that's the one that causes you to bump your head when getting out from under the bench, after you have discovered that the carpet monster has once again had a tasty lunch at your expense. :tired: Rick H.

Evening all .
Following some pm's between myself and Dude1 aka Allen nearly Retired of Bamburg

A joint effort has resulted in this .

2021_2.jpg2021_3.jpg

Took some time to find out how much of the web was required, very little , and much less than you would think .
Teasing it out was fun, as you soon ended with single threads stuck to hands , jumper and even on my glasses !

Applying the pigment by a largish flat brush was soon given up when I found that rubbing the web in pigment that was on the paper gave a better coverage. It was only when doing the black and grey towards the end of the trail that it was just scattered on.
Once done I gave it a spray of Hair Spray , mainly just to keep the pigment in place .

Pleased that there is a little red showing through from the paint on the two part glue holding the wire on .We decided that although the photos that I found showed very little black smoke at the onset of the launch some would look better .

The base foam board has been glued in place , so while the model sits well out of the way the stone sets can be imprinted.
Going to show part of a steel factory roof support left after a direct hit, so only a small section of brickwork and maybe a lone window frame with the remains of the glass .

Hopefully tomorrow after another trip to the recycling center with yet more discarded garden and shed finds I can carry on with the base .

Thanks for looking in .
Dzhon.

JR, you have done it again! Not only a masterful job of recreating rocket exhaust but also a newly discovered "hair"-do for Matron in the process....I should think your talents will be in demand at the local beauty salon. Tip O' the Hat to you my friend..........you never cease to amaze me. Along with the others, I await further developments. Also Kudos to Dude 1 for not allowing you to employ too much "fire" in your rocketry....we all know how that could turn out!! :tongue-out3: :tongue-out2::tongue-out::thumb2::thumb2::thumb2: Rick H.

Looking absolutely superb, John. On target for another 'Dog's', I would say.( I know you can't really award it to yourself, but I am sure the committee will make an exception)
Maybe we could get a new emoji...?

Very true indeed my friend, this time real fire was banned. Actually I do cut Managements hair and mine, not been refused entry anywhere yet so must be ok.;).

Thank you Neil, the rules are rules , no family members of any one working for the estates is allowed. I'm sure you could come up with something fitting, like ash !:upside:

John/Allen,

That has turned out really well. Very convincing.

On behalf of my technical advisor and my self thank you Paul.

Today saw the base foam board worked on, I found a window frame that I had made some time ago, and along with some spare brick work.
Yesterday I started the steel work, cut it down as it didn't need to be that high.
First coat of black wash has been applied, tomorrow when dry it can be lightly sanded back.

Along with some gas bottles, 3 fuel drums, an engine, to have inside mixed in with the debris.

Thanks for looking in, comments as usual please, hints or dam right abuse:upside:

Just beautiful JR, Yes......seeing you efforts of the other day brought to mind Mrs. Slocomb from the old sitcom "Are you Being Served"? She was the master of odd hair back then, Now it seems to be the "norm"......go figure! Cheers, Rick H.

Love the updated smoke effect. That really has turned out beautifully. And as you say good to still be able to see a bit of the flame through it too.

Great work.
