Embarrassing me again then Andrew LOL. Nice job on those. They would enhance any cockpit.Morning all
So I've finished the two pilots. I've left the arms off because I want to try to get them posed with their hands on the joystick as the photos suggest may be possible and also to make sure I can get them in the cockpit.
In terms of painting I have used theworldforum famous "Marlow Method of Figure Painting".
For those new to the forum, Tim Marlow did a figure painting SBS 18 months ago that was instrumental in breaking my block/fear when it came to small scale figure painting. I'm nowhere near his level but you've got to start somewhere! You can find the process described in detail starting here link.
I'm going to be honest that these probably aren't my best effort and I think I probably rushed them a bit but once they're in the cockpit most of them won't be visible.
ACW as usual.

So after priming, the first step is to give the figure a coat of 50/50 coat of Vallejo's Black Game Wash and Glaze Medium, to provide some pre-shade and make the figures easier to read for painting.
The finished figures, not my best but they will do.
You won't have any regrets Pete..........Marlow Method works......Don't forget the Vallejo Flesh WashThose figures are superb Andrew.
I must have a good look at the 'Marlow Method', since my figures are pretty poor by comparison.

Looks good so far Andrew.....keep it coming Pard!
Yep,indeed mate....... we`re both looking forward to it immenselyI try whenever possible. Not quite my best work but I reasoned so little would be on view and through the canopy it would look ok.
Thanks Pete. As Rick said, you should look it up. Very simple steps abd works on any scale up to and including 1/35.
Thanks Andy! Good to have you on board!
And only three weeks to TankFest!
Thanks Rick! Glad you're liking it!!!
Thanks for stopping by chaps!! More pics to follow shortly.
ATB.

Indeed Tim, not the best plane kit I have done since returning to the hobby and that includes a 1968 Monogram offering!Becoming a bit of a struggle that one Andrew. Sure you’ll fix it 5hough.
Hopefully.... But then I did put the boat out recently and got an internal PE set for it.If it’s like usual Tamiya just shake the box hard enough and it will be done LOL….
