Mike, the Russian green looks a bit dark in the picture, but you can see it in daylight, but it looks good with paint on it. Turret details are nice.
Cheers Graeme,
Still deciding about the paint, I may wait untill it is all in primer and then do some shading.
Mike.

Update,
The turret is now well underway, and it is now a case of working my way around it and adding items here and there. The slat on the bottom of the hull rear has finally been hung on the attachment bar, and swings freely.
The slat and reactive blocks are now on the turret, pics below.

Slat sections built and joined...

Reactive blocks with new handles added.

And all in place.1.

And 2.
Cheers,
Mike.

Update,
Having a couple of days off the build itself - now building tracks, 76 links per side, 4 parts per link.

Hello Si,
Yes, on the downwind leg now as far as building goes, The base was given its final coat of black yesterday ready for the ground work to start, but got to finish the track construction today I hope.
Cheers,
Mike

The turret is looking good, the tracks sound tedious!

The dogs do da's and a kitchen sink to boot Mike.

I trust you are using that jig :smiling2:.

Have you been let back into the house yet ? This 2 mtr rule is not essential to married couples tell SWMBO.

The only jig at the moment is being done because I have finished one length, all parts were cut from the sprues last night ready for the final assault today. I would be happy except I know there are five more boxes of these in the stash :tired:.
She keeps eyeing the shed with a certain glint in her eye, and yesterday I found my jam sandwiches wrapped in a map that showed how to get from the kitchen to the shed. Now everybody knows I know how to get to the shed - what is she on about .

Hi Jim,
It feels firm enough, but I would not like to put it to the test, with solder maybe but we all know how brittle c/a can become.

Update,
Have been building up the tracks all afternoon and now stopped for a break. The pic below shows the sequence I use, and the only tool is the pair of tweezers. The red area is where I brush a slight amount of liquid cement.
Now time for a cuppa and a wedge of lemon cake all homemade by SWMBO....
Cheers, Mike.

Look like the Diehl tracks used on the Abrams & the Leo 2. We used to supply steel for the end connectors

There is a strong similarity when you look at them, I had to look at the box title to make sure when i got them out to start. Just taken this pic of three together.
