That preshade is very neat. It is always far too easy to loose it with the colour coat. Tim's idea is sound but has to be subtle.

I may just leave as is yet, haven't decided, being underneath out of the sun there probably wouldn't have been much fading, more dirty which I can do with weathering.

Your preshade looks fine on my tablet. Always hard to catch 'on film' .

A bit more progress, have got it masked and applied the ocean grey to the top half,I think I will have to do a retouch of the light grey above the exhaust cowlings, not a big issue, the vinyl mask doesn't like fiddly bits so I found out, hopefully tomorrow I can get the camo mask on and hit it with some green.20220804_215711.jpg20220804_215902.jpg

Camo is done :smiling3: just got the green on,didn't have a huge amount of confidence in the vinyl masks as they didn't want to push down into the nooks and crannies with keep lifting and wasn't to keen on the way the ammo paint was spraying ,was expecting allsorts of touching up to do when unmasked but was quite relieved to see it don't actually look to bad.20220806_193950.jpg20220806_193902.jpg20220806_193453.jpg

I'm with Tony there Mark. The finish came out really nice and I don't see anything needing touch ups either. You gonna gloss the whole thing or just where the decals go? That's a dark art to me with wing thingy's.....

Cheers guys,
Yes Allen I will gloss the whole thing,I've tried glossing just decal areas before and had issues with the matt/satin coat covering the gloss paint edges, plus I think the gloss will slightly darken the paint colour so I worry about things looking a bit patchy maybe.
