To be fair to them Tim, this is their older generation paint. I've heard good things about their 3rd generation paints, but I think I'll stick to Mr Hobby in future.

Both Mr Hobby and Tamiya spray too well for me to change from them anyway. Never had a lot of luck spraying acrylic paint or primer really.

It's still fighting you Pete. That paint problem is a real setback. As you say removing the the masking is gonna be a worrying time.

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. The masking came off with no more paint lifting, but it took several coats of white to cover the part where the paint lifted. I sprayed the black stripes using the Iwata Revolution I picked up at the St Ives show for £25 - needed a clean, but works very well. Very controllable although I haven't tried anything really fine yet. Also used it for the Galeria clear coat:

Wow Pete, I would say that was the best 25 you ever spent, eh!!! Stripes look great Sir!!! With decals, she will look a whole lot better too...
