Some great detailing going on there, kpnuts. The engine looks great, as do the rivets on the mudguards.

I understand these car bodys were covered with cloth and am thinking of covering it with paper and painting that, do you think that would give a clothe effect finish.
You can get paper with a linen type emboss on it. I wonder if using an actual fine fabric might be easier though, it may conform to the curves better than paper.

Well thanks for following along I dont see my boss's husband buying this now, and I've gone and taken a commission from my boss now I feel guilty now she's paid for the models and I've bought them but I've obviously not got the skills to deliver, I must have been mad to agree. I've ruined the Bentley will post pics tomorrow, can't bring myself to tonight, I will finish it but it certainly won't be on display anywhere.

As you can see from these next three pic ruined beyond restoration( oh I know I could ask airfix for a new body and decals but to be honest I cant be asked) as I said will finish it but lost all interest now, now its just to get it out the way. dont know what made me take that commission.

Well I fixed it I filled my revell precision glue pot with super glue then I made a little hole in the air bubble and squeezed the superglue in the hole, then I gradually squeezed the excess glue and air out of the hole. I fixed the decals with a hair drier, I put it on maximum( I figured I had ruined the body anyway so nothing to loose) I heated the decals up then squeezed them flat with some tissue.

What your probably going to find. As you edge towards completion, all the little mistakes and errors made along the way you will find a way to correct and rectify at the end

This looks really good. Fantastic work on the engine. Wheels look great too, been a long journey on that for you hasn't it?
