Good thinkingcouldn’t you just slip an appropriate sized tube over the gun barrels to prevent paint getting on them while you tackle the paint job?

The vacuum plastic sails with the kit are rubbish and aftermarket sails are too expensive so sorry no sailsan any sails ?
Use fine handkerchiefs , blouse material etc, suitably marked up and coloured, and stiffened with dilute PVA - I used that in the past and it works perfickly! The vacuum plastic sails with the kit are rubbish and aftermarket sails are too expensive so sorry no sails
Would silk be ok? If you can get hold of some old parachute silk it could be rolled up and furled or whatever the nautical term is for sailed tied to the yardarms!!!!Use fine handkerchiefs , blouse material etc, suitably marked up and coloured, and stiffened with dilute PVA - I used that in the past and it works perfickly!
