I thought of suggesting build your car, but not all of us drive around in super cars or luxury cars. Shame there are not more ordinary cars as kits.!

Sorry for all the spamming but I feel there was a need for replies to many of the posts.

Would that be like railways..... o_OCould be hard sourcing models.

Not if you know where to look.

DC kits, comet models, Kibri and Cambrian to name a few. Kibri specialise in track maintenance stock like ballast cleaners and tampers. Cambrian mostly do wagons and the others do coaches and multiple units.

Public transport can cover a multitude of subjects beyond trains. Buses, trams, taxis, rickshaws or Filipino jingly buses.

The Crusades.

The Foreign Legion seemingly had endless fights with various groups of tribesmen.

The Sudan

Virtually any country in the middle east for the last half century!

That is NOT what I meant or wrote!

I quoted to posts and you have made it look like one.

Someone suggested a railway build and later came a suggestion of trains.

the second suggestion was public transport. to which I said it could be hard sourcing models.

Sorry Ian. That response (as is this one) was posted from my Blackberry. Getting them to make sense can be a bit hit and miss so I wasn't trying to cause any confusion.

But as I have said in another post trains and railways aren't the only form of public transport. If someone were interested in looking for a kit of railway stock the manufacturers I listed are a good place to start.

In all honesty Ian I think rick was just referring to the public transport part but something messed up with the quote function ... If you notice his reply is an integral part of the whole quote so summits gone doolally ....

Edit .... Sorry for jumping in there rick ...we posted at the same time ... Thought that was the problem .....

How's about anything on rail's or anything with sails.peter t
If I can Have a thinking out loud moment:

What is the feeling toward having a boat build a la Super Special interest. Let me expand on that a little:

There are a few here that like to build boats, Like the wooden or glass fiber ones. (Like Andys for example). There are also a few that would like to give it a go but are afraid to take the plunge. Sooooo a super sig. 12 months to build a boat in wood or plastic. All the help you need and a nice boat to play with at the end.

Civil airliners has come up before and got ONE vote if I remember....Racing aircraft.. Real ones that have existed or made up ones?

Historical figure/Bust is on the list.

Civilian car.... We could try that again, Didn't we have a car build not long ago`?

Ian M
Yes that was probably me that voted for it ! but i seem to remember someone commenting that there werent more airliners modelled , maybe a chance to right the balance? The historical figure idea cuts it down a bit , not many kits to choose from , any figure from before WW1 gives a lot more options. I dont think we've had a Car build have we? I know weve had WW1 before (2012 i think) tony

How about a people carrier - with people? Anything designed to carry people but must have people other than the driver/pilot.

eg Taxi with passenger, ambulance with patient, APC with troops.
