We all pick one subject, 1/72 Spitfire, 1/35 Tiger for example, and come up with a 'what if' for that subject - new markings, steam punk version - whatever fancy takes you.
If I may I will take just a part of this as it surprisingly not been mentioned yet. STEAMPUNK...

The Red Arrows. Here's the twist, we would need nine participants and each participant does a different serial numbered aircraft - but how do we get all nine in formation?
How about just a Red Arrow build. If you want to do a diamond nine, a single or anything in between..?

....the only thing I can think of is something like wacky races. Military vehicles like jeeps, kubelwagens horches trucks etc turned into racers as if the war was put on hold...
That is crazy enough that it could work. lol

Wacky racers is on the list.

Why a bomber? And why only four engines? There are plenty of multi-engine aircraft out there, P-3, Nimrod, Hercules, VC-10, Tri Star, B-52, etc.

It was rather lonely at times in some of the GB and SIG builds this year. Suggestions are fabulous, but can we actually commit? It's apparent that Ian takes a lot of his time to organise these builds and when the result is a one or two (or even nil) result for participation it doesn't do much for either Ian or the few who did bother to participate. I think if you make a suggestion and it is selected then we need to confirm that we will build, and make sure we do see it to completion.
Whilst I generally agree with you Joe. There was so much going on this year, so many over lapping builds, I had to miss a couple out.

the story so far:

Ferrarri

The battle for Berlin.

Brail scale armour 1/72 Scale ? Can you see it?

Biplanes I would like to say yes, but as a dog fight double…

VE or VJ Depict the end of the war. Streey party, parade, sign on the dotted line…

The devil is in the detail. Put as much extra detail on a basic kit as you can. However you can.

Prototypes that didnt quite make it. Mass produced need not apply.

from a photo. Post a photo and try to reproduce it as accuratly as possible. You can even paint it in Mono tone IF YOU WANT TO.

Soviet Aircraft. Any type and era. Political hot pot that one :smiling3:

lands on an aircraft carrier

Ragtops: Cars with out lids.

Behind enemy lines.

Anything with snow.

Stock car racing...Nascar or Brisca

Anything that's not a land vehicle, an aircraft, a boat or spacecraft. Ie a house, a monument or the like.

An imaginary Sci. Fi. space something, out of bits and bobs.

Rest and recreation.

Post war wrecked armour or aircraft. Found rotting in a field…

911 how can we help you? Whicj service due you requier. Fire, ambulance or police?

YOUR Future But what does it look like?

Large scale build; not aircraft

Jules Vernes world. Can you build it?

The Italian Job. Hmm another homage to the mini?

Tank Transporters

Civilian service. Post war use of military hardware in civilian life.

A battleship. Loads of subjects there.

A classic from the seventies. Time to dig those cupboard queens up and build them!

Locomotive If it is on rails its fine but lets try to avoid the obvious German railguns..

Under a tenner. Any kit purchased for under £10 (or equivelant there of!)

A figure build As in the singular A figure.

The Desert. Any desert, any war.

Lost and found. Any war barn find. sort of a restoration project thing

Mounted figure. A figuer on an orse or elfalump for that matter….

Collision. Sorry mate I didn't see you there….

Steampunk

Raspberry Ripples. NO not those ones the aircraft

Rat rods Nice 'n' rusty, distressed paint and attitude…

Artillery, with or with out tow.

Civilian aircraft..as in comercial airlines.

The Red Arras. Build one, build em all..

4 engine bombers. Nuff said?

Wacky Racers- The war is over, at least for today. Today is race day!!

Build the box art.

If you wish to comment or question a suggestion. Highlight the subject and you will get an option to reply to that line alone. PLEASE do not quote the whole post.

You beat me to it, Steam Punk is a flexible yet constrained topic and allows imagination to run riot. Anyone can have a crack at it and modify any kit you fancy.

Errm to try and keep it in a similar theme. We could have a suggestion for multi engined (unarmed) military aircraft if that helps...

...reference to the Italian Job...why not twist it, by using any vehicle...except for the mini, no minis at all!!! No coopers no clubman, not even a mini Swiss roll!!! o_O

Use hummers or shermans or milkfloats as long as they're red, white and blue!

Lee :smiling3:

So you actually want to build rig and paint a couple or nine Camel's in the Red Arrow scheme.... Good luck with that... LOL

I think we better stick to the actual jets they have used...

Four engine bombers is quite restrictive I think, how many four engined German, Japanese or Russian bombers are there for example?
