Hi John
That background information was really interesting - thanks. It certainly was a big old monster. I hope you have success with the tracks this time around.
Hope all goes well with the eye test.

Thanks Jim, yes I must beat this fear, Paul suggests doing them on tape, so might give that a shot.

No fair.... you've had practice building these green monsters!! :tongue-out3: ;)
Rick H.

Well a few Rick.:smiling3:.

I'll be following your build, John. The kit looks nice with plenty of details.
Welcome Andrea , always room for you.
You think he'd get bored with plain green after a while wouldn't you???? ;)

Plenty of shades to choose from Andrew, including ice green and snow !

John,
I'm in mate, time to work the Russian magic.

Thanks Paul, plenty of Sculptamold , insulation foam and maybe some resin water, , oh and a lot of plastic.

Andy, you're talking about the guy who has a T-34 bedspread and Tank slippers.....guess what color he painted his garden shed....it's a whole lifestyle we're talking about here!!! :tongue-out3: ;):thumb2:
It was most pleasing when I found out the green paint was exactly the same as 4BO, well you can imagine the excitement :nerd:

I bet it makes the stugs look positively terrified as well LOL….
Your spot on there Tim, it just slapped them around .

Great background info John, always loved the KV 2.

Thanks Tim. Although a lumbering beast its always been one of my favorites.

Might have started this afternoon but following a hrs eye examination I felt it would be better to rest it . However following the examination and countless photos of both eyes looking up, down, left and right and straight ahead I was glad to be told " It's looking ok and no change from a year ago "
So I can carry on !

Will need a bit of filler on the top deck as normal with this kit.
Pretty clean mouldings first produced in 2005 so the moulds seem to be holding up well .Some very slight seam lines but nothing to worry about. Couple of holes were a bit under size , and I can see two that haven't been put through in the front plate .Other than these few minor things a great kit .
Soon it will be my nemesis the tracks !
Thanks for looking in , comments, abuse from members of the Rabble expected:tongue-out3:

Isn’t the first instruction to open out those holes in the front plate John? Mine were, and I forgot to do it LOL…..otherwise it looks very similar to mine….
