Ps anyone got any ideas how I can do the markings for the German 1/350 planes I have tried painting them on but they are too small for me to paint freehand and if I print them on transfer paper they are too transparent and the camo shows through.

This is looking awesome Ken, really good work. A RN ship is dirty-ish with any rust cleaned and re-painted ASAP, not always in original colours at it depends what the ships shop had in at the time. Top work mate!

Just highlight using a fine black pen that will suffice.

I have to agree that PE for the Warspite and any other ship at this scale is very fiddly. The main mast with the photo etch that came with the kit has about 32 parts

hi Ken thats a very good questgen,I think it would show very slightly, and to add to detail,

maybe just use a very small dot of paint in a difference color ,to highlight the hit and maybe about 5mm apart,

use a lite gray on the steel and a liter wood color on the deck

="kpnuts, post: 236655, member: 25229"]Done loads to it tonight, not posting pics cause it doesn't look like I've done a lot (its all tiny stuff you can hardly see) I am going crosseyed. On the chains for the anchors, where they slide up and down the long slipways would the paint have worn off and would rust then result (I don't know what you call those bits so can't Google pics).

Think this may be a peace time photo, so probably there would be more rust during war time. Great work so far. Cheers Derek

I disagree Ken, the PE is making a difference to the overall look of the ship in my opinion. It would be very apparent if you put it next to the same kit with no PE fitted.

Hi all playing with the 1/350 planes this one I was going to have crash into the sea behind Warspite but I had a thought didn't some of the German pilots do suicide runs and deliberately crash their crippled planes into ships. If I did this I was thinking they would aim for most damage so I would imagine they would try for the bridge or one of the big guns and hope to hit some ammo.

If I did this would something like that have been enough to sink a ship like the Warspite. Obviously I dont want her sunk.

Light me up Scotty!

Wow, really cool what you are pulling off here! The different scale kites to create a perception of depth within a confined space...........TOTALLY COOL!!

Not to mention the obligatory wanton destruction, keep it up!! :D

I dig the visual effects!! :smiling3:

Hi all I have just realised after adding some more of the gun turrets how well armed she was, at a rough count she had 73 guns she was basically a floating armory.
