Sorry to see the chain is not up to your requirements. Must have been a beatch getting it all in there in the first place. These things are sent to try us but it will look the DB's once done this weekend.

I have changed the winch rope and although not 100% happy it is an improvement.

next the engine and PTO have had an initial weathering and been added to the chassis. More details will be added as the build progresses. Finally a top water hose has been added, strangely not included in the kit.

The engine looks amazing mate and I hope you can get the fan into position.

what did you use for the winch rope in the end.

Yeah I hope so too I should be able to get it in. I found a bit of twine still a little over size but better than the first and second attempt.
Hi Scottie
That engine looks superb.
Jim

Looking good Paul, nice to see I am not the only one to fit an engine and then notice the fan lying on the bench.

Scottie,

I have just redone the winches on the dragon wagon and I used some wire from a picture hook kit I unravelled it and then using four strands i put it in the jaws of a cordless drill and I think that has come out really well.

Just an idea.

Marty that's my normal route as well but this time it just didn't look right I think the wire was to thick to start with.

A bit more tinkering. added the air tank and some pipework and new retaining straps. The exhaust has been fitted and the colour just blocked in it will receive weathering and pigments later.

The front axle has been fitted and I am glad to say there is a good amount of articulation and the home made spring returns it.
