Thanks for the support during this build, boys.

The 'upstand' I'm referring to is that long strip of metal with the drain holes, fixed to the main deck, flush with the hull outer edge and in front of the diddy grey boat.

Sorry for any confusion, I haven't a clue what it's called either. Upstand is the nearest word I could think of.

Bulwarks it is then. Thanks Ian.
...and thanks to Tony and Tim for their contribution.

All gratefully received.

I've fixed in place the two remaining ship's boats, also glued together and fixed the very frail fore and aft masts.

Just a few more pieces to add and then a bit more paintwork before I do the rigging.

Thanks to those hardy souls who have stuck with this. :thumb2:

Cheers.

How could I possibly forget my good buddy Chris....

I've added the various 'other bits' and she is now ready for the rigging. The anchors etc. can wait until I do the weathering.

P.S. I'll hopefully straighten the masts when I do the rigging.;)

Thanks for the input boys.

I've stuck on the rear part of the superstructure. I re-painted this and the boat deck from the dk. Green to the overall grey. I've left the bridge area green.
Added both chimleys and a few more A.A. weapons.

The black plastic boot topping has been glued onto the hull. There is also a metal strip fixed to the inside of this to give a bit of weight to the model. I intended to take pre-fixing shots of this stage - but I forgot!:upside:

Starting to look a bit more like KGV.

I've added a few bits of colour contrast to the main deck and added the A.A. gun surrounds to the bow and stern 'gathering'

Time for the secondary guns, ships boats and yet more A.A. stuff.

Cheers.

What a splendid looking vessel. Teak decks - I've worked on two ships that actually had teak decks, and I'm ONLY 54.
