Is that going to be an AVLB?What's on the bench.....?
A very long build..... but a build log will be at the end of the build.

Very nice indeed AndreaThe Spit is progressing. Black primer from rattle can, aluminum coat by Tamiya over a first light coat of Steel by Vallejo, then the engine cowl partially painted with Tamiya Dark green. Dark grey will follow next time along with some retouching due to bad masking.View attachment 458845View attachment 458846
The level of details of that kit is amazing.
Andrea
A quick look I thought some kind of Moth !Hi, I was requested to paint up the H-60's as well and my itchy fingers added the large tail elevators characteristic of Hawks.

Yep...the folded rotors make it look like some kind of insect. Preferred it with rotors extended but Greg wanted it ship shaped.A quick look I thought some kind of Moth !
Hopefully yes.Is that going to be an AVLB?
Looks like I'll be asking for a nice warm lager from the shelf if you please John.Too hot to really do much, with both doors open I normally have a decent cool air breeze, to day was just hot air.
Did manage to do these internals to the cafe.View attachment 458852View attachment 458853View attachment 458854
Cool, that will be very interesting to see. (And then AFV Club will release a kit that you would only need to superdetail )Hopefully yes.
Thanks Jim.Very nice John. Working in these temperatures shows real dedication. I have just written off the last couple of days as far as being at the bench is concerned.
Well that's what you would have had to day at 104 f Richard. Don't know what they did to keep the beer cool in those days, much would of course been om tap from the cellar.Looks like I'll be asking for a nice warm lager from the shelf if you please John.
Cheers,
Richard

Hmmm...... well as you said Rick, it is a monster. Already wondering if I want to use up that much space in my cabinet to keep it. If it progresses far enough next few days than I'll start a build thread. And sure, I'll save a seat for you, its what friends do. "Friend".Ahhhhhh yes the E100, you know this was an actual concept that made it off the drawing board. I have seen photos of the chassis and running gear.....what a monster. I think the one I saw was for a turreted version......but somewhere in the depths of my foggy old git memory I seem to remember seeing a very large fixed fighting compartment.......might have been a mock up though. Oh, the springs........proper diameter copper wire (annealed) and the correct diameter drill bit clamped in yer vise......count off the number of turns to copy the plastic ones and you are in.....piece of Cake!! Before I forget, are there any seats left? I would like to follow this build if I may Sir.
Ok I get it "Friend" I shall not forget the seat thing in the future, I promise!Hmmm...... well as you said Rick, it is a monster.
