Try copper finished with matt varnish tinted slightly green…should dull them down nicely…obviously practice first

Looks awesome Gerry.The motor is slowly getting there - would've been helpful if the instructions actually showed that there was a 'correct placement' of the first two cylinders

Thanks Lee, all I can say, is that if I'd have realised that I'd be assembling this by holding parts with tweezers while using another set of tweezers to position the next part, I might well have gone and bought a tank!
and still it goes on, got a 3 part headlight coming up, plus the door handle to be fitted!

I haven't got a T34 done yet (found one in the stash though & eldest has a diecast 1/35 one somewhere)
Nor me. I wanted to do either a T34 or a KV-1 for the GB, but the shop didn’t have either…..hence the KV-7.

Yep, it shows how not to design a breakthrough tank if nothing else GerryAgain, the KV-7 is something unusual rather than a T34
Cheers Jim. Apart from some of the ejection marks it’s a pretty vice free kit to be honest. I may look for the KV-2 in the future.

Thanks Jim - must admit that there is certain parts with the kit that I'm not really happy with (mainly because some parts are so fragile that I daren't do much cleaning up of mold lines etc. (tried a few, but ended up with more parts than I started with, probably down to a fairly brittle plastic and no patience/too heavy handed)

Slow going, as it seems to take ages just to do a small amount, but that small amount is in full view - think that if it wasn't in the group build it might well have become a shelf queen
