John - sorry, forgot to come back and clarify.......

the two halves of the drive sprocket should fit together so that gap, arrowed, is not there

Those large bumps either side fit together to form a bar between the front and back faces - the track link teeth drag on these bars as the wheel rotates and that is what produces motion

Shaping up nicely Dzohn. I think you guys in Europa are going to have to break down & invest in air conditioning or move your bedrooms into the basement before you all expire. It doesn't look like summers of yore are going to return in our lifetimes. PaulE

Oh I see, should I cut them apart and reglue ? Thank you.
I'd left the rear track guards off for ease of fitting the tracks.

Hi Paul , thank you, think your correct with the air con, I can see there being a sales boom

Today being much cooler I managed fair amount on the diorama base
Taking note from 570 perfect bases I've decided to try to improve.
Using some cardboard and white card I've started to make a wraparound with only the front open .

IMG_20190727_183314221_HDR.jpg
The white card is glued to another section of cardboard, which in turn is glued to the large sheet.
This has given a lip around , so the roofing frame has a fixing point.
There will be afair amount of roofing sheets blown off, exposing the steel frame
With this in mind I have increased the detail

I knew one day those bolt heads would come in handy :nerd:

Thanks for following.

That's nice JR the rabbles DIO's certainly are on the up and up
That's kind of you Mick, thanks.

Coming together nicely John:thumb2:
Hi Si, cheers mate, I keep trying, more time now its cooler and wet .:smiling:

Managed to get the rest of the white card stuck down on the dio back and sides.
Going to carry on with the roof joists, but at some point need to get put the tank through the wall, before I manage to block myself in.
Some paints should be here from the Scale Model Shop this week , this will enable final painting to take place of the tank.

Have a good week all .

John.

Lovin the base. Any man hole covers in the street?.
Cheers Steve ,I did think about it,but there will be loads of debris, but could put a drain in near the wall as there will be guttering.
This is where we are today .
Another section of steel roofing.C/W with Bolts ! Well they are nearly rivit:tongue-out3::tongue-out3: like
Also made a quick jig, hopefully will help to keep the angle right .

JR, that is a "fixture". Jig is now an inappropriate word as somewhere down the line someone smarter than all of us decided it had "racial connotations" LOL!!!
:smiling5: Cheers, Rick H.

Very nice work on the jig. We will have to start considering you as an honorary member of the rivet club.
