Well we try to award the Dogs when the build is in the completed section Chris
There have been times when the committee feel it is worthy even before it is finished .
How ever we do not want to issue the award on every occasion even when the work merit's it.
I hope this answer is acceptable .

I always feel Matron is standing just behind me whenever I'm cussing over a kit and just waiting for that flick on the back of the ear or a slap on the back of the head. :smiling6:
Sometimes it's SWMBO :flushed::tongue-out3:

Cheers,
Richard

Not much done today after taking a break and working on the ratlines as a breather I started on the stanchions and netting and only have one more run to do then it's paint... man I have to get passed this and start working on the jackstays.

Just waiting for that slap on the back of the head... been cussing the whole day.

Cheers,
Richard

Finally, hammock netting done and deck masked to prime the netting. My earlier plan to have the stanchions removable disn't work out due to the difficulty with the metal netting.

So basically its nearly mummified.

Hi Richard
I don't think I've ever seen so much masking.
Jim
Jim, unfortunately necessary to avoid over spray.
Great work with the hammock netting
Thanks Ian.

Didn't want the ordinary masking tape to linger on so I quickly primed...

Then sprayed Nato black and then Flat black on the undersides and stanchion points and after taking off the mask this is the result...

There are some parts of the netting with clogged CA but it can be removed with a sharp needle or debonder.
I'm glad this part is over...just needs some highlights and dry bushing to bring out the netting.

Cheers,
Richard

Glad the masking worked ok. Always a worry when the tape is removed.

Been cracking my head over how to make blocks for my carronade trolleys and will try this...

I have flattened some QTIP/cotton bud holders and cut them to shape. They're too small to round the edges but hope once I've added the threads I can do that later.
Hope it works.

Cheers,
Richard

A short trip to the haberdashery got me what I wanted with threads for rope. They got the new polysilk threads that have no fibres to burn away.
